It is set to be completed by Nov. 15 and ready to open at the beginning of next year. The $3 million factory will provide 700 jobs and over 100 families will be brought in to work in the factory. Repton’s main industry plans to halve the company’s payroll at the beginning of next year, so the factory will provide job opportunities for any citizen who may become unemployed. The purpose of the plant is to make and package doughnuts that will be shipped all over Alabama.
